zinkhole

Project information

A minimal DNS blocker and local DNS server for home networks, written in Zig with no dependencies. It blocks ads and trackers using common blocklists, gives your own devices hostnames, and forwards everything else over DNS-over-TLS. One static binary and one YAML file, with no web UI, database or state on disk. Runs on Debian, Alpine and Docker, and installs into Proxmox LXC with a single command. Two instances can keep their settings in sync.

dns zig-lang zig network udp tcp
