I'm Kushal, Senior Frontend Engineer at GitLab.
I'm a frontend maintainer for gitlab-org/gitlab. I've been at GitLab since 2016, working primarily on Plan stage features. Right now I'm mainly focused on Human-in-the-Loop for Spec-Driven Development.
Feature areas I know best:
- Work items, including the detail view, widgets, and the GraphQL and Apollo plumbing behind them
- Roadmaps
- Design management
- GFM editor (Plain & RTE) and Quick Actions
While most of my work is on the frontend, I pick up backend changes from time to time too:
- GraphQL types, fields, resolvers, and permission types, plus query complexity tuning
- Work item type definitions and widget models
- Services and quick actions, like creating decisions from Duo questions and the
/typeand/statuscommands - Banzai reference filters for GFM popovers
- Notification emails and their helpers
- Rails helpers, controllers, HAML views, and
gondata - Feature flag rollouts and cleanups
- RSpec feature specs and QA page objects
