TubeCast is a Python application that converts YouTube channels into audio podcasts by monitoring specified channels for new videos, downloading them, extracting audio, and serving the content through an HTTP server with RSS feed support for podcast players. It features automated channel scanning, audio conversion to MP3, database-backed episode management, configurable settings via environment variables, and a complete podcast server infrastructure.

The application runs as a continuous service with both background downloading and web serving capabilities, making it easy to transform any YouTube channel into a subscribable podcast feed while handling metadata, duplicate prevention, and episode cleanup automatically.
